Guitars Not Guns Gives At-Risk Youth A Unique After-School Activity

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors recognized Guitars not Guns at a board meeting as an outstanding model for alternative after-school activities for at-risk youth.

“Nonprofits that provide alternative after-school activities for at-risk youth are an integral part of the community,” said Braddock District Supervisor Sharon Bulova. “Guitars not Guns provides a unique and positive after-school activity.”

Guitars not Guns is a nonprofit organization that collaborates with local groups to help stop violence in schools and on the streets by providing guitars and lessons for at-risk youth and underprivileged children.
