The design jury for the 24th annual Fairfax County Exceptional Design Awards selected 10 winners of exceptional architectural or site design achievement in the county. The awards will be presented later this fall. This year’s award recipients are:

Entries were judged by a review committee composed of Marlene Walli Shade and Aaron Gasper, Northern Virginia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects; Jeni Hornback, the Virginia Chapter of the American Planning Association; Ching-Fang Chen, the Potomac Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects; Denis Gulakowski, the Engineers and Surveyors Institute; J. Paul Lewis, the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce; Lynne Garvey Hodge, the Fairfax County History Commission; and Robert Wilson Mobley, the Fairfax County Architectural Review Board.
The design awards program is sponsored by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and administered by the Fairfax County Department of Planning and Zoning, in cooperation with the Fairfax County Architectural Review Board and the Northern Virginia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
