Fairfax County deactivated the Alternate Emergency Operations Center at 11:45 p.m. The emergency shelter set up at the South Run RECenter has closed and the voluntary evacuation of the Royal Lake area has been lifted.
Minor erosion was found at the Royal Lake Dam and the dam’s emergency spillway, which has been stabilized. There is no danger to residents and the county will monitor the dam and the spillway throughout the night. Guinea Road has been reopened to traffic.
