More Information |
Fairfax Circuit Court is mailing approximately 45,000 juror questionnaires to residents of Fairfax County and the City of Fairfax on Thursday, Sept. 11. Potential jurors are randomly selected from the current voter registration list.
Receiving a questionnaire does not mean the recipient will necessarily be called upon to serve as a juror. It is the first step in selecting the juror pool for 2009.
Fairfax Circuit Court is one of the few courts in the country that allows residents to answer their questionnaire online. The system is available 24/7. This secure Web site can be accessed at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/juror.
Those chosen to serve as jurors will receive a summons about four weeks before being required to report in 2009. The juror summons also will contain information on where to call if the assigned jury duty dates cause a schedule conflict.
