McLean Community MPAartfest Is Oct. 5

Dranesville District Supervisor John Foust announces that the public is invited to the McLean Project for the Arts’ second annual MPAartfest on Sunday, Oct. 5, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., at McLean Central Park, 1468 Dolley Madison Blvd., McLean.
This free event will feature several mini art galleries showcasing and offering artwork for sale from a diverse group of 40 juried artists. The Children’s ArtWalk features the work of students from McLean area elementary schools; at the Children’s ArtTent children can create their own artwork; the ArtSmart tent features contemporary art; and area seniors will showcase their art in the “Seniors: Thinking Outside the Box” exhibit.
There will be live performances throughout the day, and refreshments from local restaurants will be available for purchase. Last year, more than 3,500 visitors attended the MPAartfest. For more information, contact the Dranesville District office at 703-356-0551, TTY 711.
