The Braddock District Supervisor’s Office has launched a new monthly TV program on Fairfax County Government Channel 16. “Braddock Neighborhood News” will showcase programs and services provided by the county, highlight great things being done by neighbors in the Braddock District and show how the district office is working with the community.
Each month, Braddock District Supervisor John Cook will present a new program for residents. June’s program provides timely and important information about illegal boarding houses – what they are, what the county is doing about the problem and how residents can help. Guests on the show are Deputy Zoning Administrator Michael Congleton and Strike Team Operations Chief Jeff Blackford. The program airs every Sunday at 5 p.m., every Wednesday at 7 p.m. and every Friday at 5 p.m. throughout June.
Residents also are invited to the first Braddock District open house on Sunday, June 14, from 3-5 p.m. at the Braddock District Office, 9002 Burke Lake Road, Burke. The open house is an invitation to meet with Cook and see the office up close and personal. Light refreshments will be served, and staff will be available to address needs or take questions about government resources.
