- Dec. 24 – Fairfax County Park Authority RECenters close at noon, except for George Washington RECenter, which is closed. Resource Management Division (RMD) sites such as nature centers, historic sites, Frying Pan Farm Park and Green Spring Gardens will be closed.
- Dec. 25 – All Park Authority RECenters and RMD sites closed.
- Dec. 26 – RECenters will operate on their regular schedules. Nature centers open from noon to 5 p.m.; historic sites from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Frying Pan Farm Park from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (visitor center open 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.); Green Spring Gardens from noon to 4:30 p.m. (historic house closed).

County Trash and Recycling Collection – County residents receiving county collection service for trash and recyclables on Fridays will not receive service on Friday, Dec. 25. Their trash and recyclables will be collected on Saturday, Dec. 26. To ensure collection, residents should have their trash and recyclables to the curb by 6 a.m. on the designated collection day.
Recycling and Disposal Facilities at I-66 Transfer Station and I-95 Landfill Complex–
