The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors has proclaimed Wednesday, Nov. 4, as Government Contracting Day in Fairfax County. The county ranks among the top counties in the nation in the value of federal contracts performed locally, with more than $17 billion in agreements, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Government contracting firms provide employment for county residents and revenue to fund services and play a major role in the success of the county’s economy
