The next Fairfax County Interfaith Community Dialogue — “Sacred Scripture: How do you understand your own? Can I try?” — is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Congregation Olam Tikvah, 3800 Glenbrook Road, Fairfax. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; the dialogue is from 7 to 9:40 p.m. Due to limited seating, register by Monday, Nov. 16 by calling 703-324-3453, TTY 711.
Featured speakers are Father Tuck Grinnell, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church; Rabbi Benjamin Shalva, Congregation Olam Tikvah; and Imam Zia Makhdoom, Mustafa Islamic Center. The facilitated dialogueoffers people of diverse ethnic, cultural and faith backgrounds an opportunity to share their experiences and viewpoints.
The dialogue is presented by Fairfax County Interfaith Communities for Dialogue. Support for the event is provided by a collaborative partnership of the Fairfax County Community Interfaith Liaison Office and local civic, nonprofit and faith communities.
