More Information  Mount Vernon District Office Board of Supervisors Upcoming Elections

Mount Vernon District Supervisor Gerald W. Hyland will host the annual Mount Vernon Town Meeting for Fairfax County residents on Saturday, Jan. 31. The event will take place from 7:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mount Vernon High School, 8515 Old Mount Vernon Road, Alexandria.

The meeting will include a debate between two candidates running for chairman of the Board of Supervisors. Current Board of Supervisors members Sharon Bulova, Braddock District, and Pat Herrity, Springfield District, will participate in the debate. A special election will be held Feb. 3.

Also, as part of the town meeting, Hyland will guide a “virtual bus tour” of the Mount Vernon District. Hyland hosted Mount Vernon’s first town meeting 22 years ago.
