Supervisors to Host Tax Relief Workshops

Fairfax County residents with disabilities or who are 65 years of age or older are invited to workshops to receive assistance completing tax relief application forms. Fairfax County provides real estate tax relief and car tax relief to residents who are either 65 or older, or permanently and totally disabled, and meet the income and asset eligibility requirements. Qualified taxpayers also may be eligible for rent relief. Workshops will be held in the Springfield, Lee, Dranesville and Providence districts. Additional workshops will be announced at a later date.

Springfield District - Hosted by
Supervisor Pat Herrity, the workshop will be held on March 20
from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the West Springfield Governmental Center, 6140
Rolling Road, Springfield. For more information call the

Lee District - Hosted by Supervisor Jeffrey
C. McKay, the workshops will be held on March 24 and March
27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Franconia Governmental Center
community room, 6121 Franconia Road, Alexandria. For more

Dranesville District - Hosted by
Supervisor John W. Foust, the workshop will be held March 30 at
the McLean Government Center community room, 1437 Balls Hill Road,
McLean from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, call the

- Providence District - Hosted by Supervisor Linda Q. Smyth, the workshops will be held April 7 and April 9, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 8739 Lee Highway, Fairfax. For more information, call the Providence District office at 703-560-6946, TTY 711.
Personnel from Fairfax County’s Department of Tax Administration will be present to help eligible residents apply for tax relief.
