Feb. 23 Is Canterbury Woods Elementary Strings Ensemble Day

News Highlights Strings ensemble to perform at the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage.

The Canterbury Woods Elementary School Strings Ensemble will perform on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. In recognition of this achievement, Braddock District Supervisor John Cook has declared Feb. 23 as Canterbury Woods Elementary School Strings Ensemble Day in the Braddock District.

The students' performance is part of the Kennedy Center’s Performing Arts for Everyone program, which is designed to expand access to the performing arts. The school will perform classical and chamber works at the free performance. Though no tickets are required, seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
