News Highlights

Schedules for Fairfax County Government offices and services for the Independence Day holiday, July 4-5.

County Government– Closed

Courts–Closed

Public Schools and School Offices–Closed

Library–Closed

Fairfax Connector–Operating Saturday service on routes: 101, 109, 151, 152, 161, 162, 171, 310, 321, 322, 401, 402, 505, 574, 605, 950 and RIBS 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. No other routes will operate.

Fastran–Not in service

Park Authority

July 4 - RECenters close at 4 p.m. George Washington RECenter will be closed for the day. Nature centers and historic sites will be closed. Frying Pan Farm Park will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the visitor center will be closed. Green Spring Gardens will open from noon to 4:30 p.m.; the Historic House will be closed. Riverbend Park will be open from noon to 5 p.m.

Teen and Senior Centers–Closed

Community Centers–Closed July 3-5

McLean Community Center–Closed July 4 and 5. The center’s annual fireworks celebration will be held at Langley High School on July 4 at 6 p.m.

Reston Community Center Hunters Woods

July 4 – Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
July 5 – Open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Reston Community Center Lake Anne–Closed

County Trash and Recycling Collection

July 5 – Normal schedule

Recycling and Disposal Facilities at I-66 Transfer Station and I-95 Landfill Complex

July 4 – Closed
