New Circuit Court Judge to Receive Official Commission on April 23

Fairfax County Circuit Court Judge Lorraine Nordlund will be presented her official commission at an investiture ceremony on Friday, April 23, 4 p.m., Courtroom 5J, Fairfax County Courthouse, 4110 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax. The public is invited to the one-hour ceremony and the reception immediately afterward.

State Sen. George L. Barker will present Nordlund with her official commission, and Court of Appeals Judge Rossie D. Alston Jr. will ceremonially administer the oath.  Nordlund took her oath of office on Feb. 1.

Before joining the Circuit Court, Nordlund served for 14 years as a Fairfax County General District Court judge. 

Nordlund graduated from William & Mary Law School in 1980.
