Residents Encouraged to Provide Feedback on Advertised FY 2011 Budget

Fairfax County residents have numerous opportunities to provide feedback and comments on the Fiscal Year 2011 Advertised Budget before it is formally adopted by the Board of Supervisors on April 27. County Executive Anthony H. Griffin proposed his budget on Feb. 23.
Residents can submit comments online or call the budget hotline at 703-324-9400 to record feedback.
Public hearings on the FY 2011 plan have been set for Tuesday, April 6, at 6 p.m., and Wednesday and Thursday, April 7-8, at 3 p.m. Those wishing to speak at any of the public hearings should contact the Office of the Clerk to the Board at 703-324-3151, TTY 703-324-3903, to place their name on the speakers list or sign up online.
A series of community meetings will be held throughout the county from March 1-24. These meetings will give residents the opportunity to ask questions and discuss specific concerns. Representatives from the Department of Management and Budget will be present at each meeting. The complete schedule is available online.
