Fall 2010 Culmore Cleanup Nov. 6

The public is invited to participate in the fall 2010 Culmore cleanup in Falls Church on Saturday, Nov. 6, from 9 to 11 a.m. Volunteers will clean up trash and other debris, while bringing awareness to keeping the community clean.
Participants should check in at 9 a.m. at the Woodrow Wilson Library, 6101 Knollwood Drive, Falls Church, to receive trash bags and gloves. Coffee and light refreshments will be offered. Volunteers are asked to call the library at 703-820-8774, ext. 4, to pre-register teams of volunteers.
The cleanup is organized by the Health Department’s Division of Environmental Health, Hidden Oaks Nature Center, the Mason District Supervisor’s Office, the Woodrow Wilson Library, Alternative House, Bailey’s Beautification Alliance and several other community organizations. Sponsors include the Rotary Club of Baileys Crossroads, Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center, John Marshall Bank, Safeway, Radley Acura, Peking Gourmet Inn and Jerusalem Restaurant & Catering.
