Presentation of the Colors by the Continental Color Guard
The Continental Color Guard and an element of the Old Guard Fife and
Drum Corps will present and retire the Colors at the beginning of the
Board of Supervisors meeting.
Army Strong Week
The Board of Supervisors will designate June 12-18 as Army Strong Week
in Fairfax County.
Lord and Lady Fairfax Honorees
The Board of Supervisors will recognize the 2011 Lord and
Lady Fairfax honorees.
Law Enforcement Torch Run
The Board of Supervisors will recognize the Fairfax County Police
Department for its participation for more than 25 years in the Special
Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run.
Langley High School Girls Swim Team
The Board of Supervisors will recognize the Langley High School Girls
Swim Team for winning the 2011 Northern Region, Liberty District and
Virginia AAA championships.
Frank Bensinger
The Board of Supervisors will recognize Frank Bensinger, principal of
Forest Edge Elementary School, Reston, for more than 25 years of service
to Fairfax County.
Maureen Marshall
The Board of Supervisors will recognize Maureen Marshall, principal of
Garfield Elementary School, Springfield, for being named the Fairfax
County Public Schools Principal of the Year and receiving a Washington
Post Distinguished Educational Leadership Award.
