Fairfax County Launches New Emergency Blog
Aug. 25, 2011
Fairfax County launches a new emergency information blog today in an effort to publish information more quickly and in user-friendly, shareable ways.
With this week’s earthquake behind us and Hurricane Irene on our door step, we’re going live now to serve you better with information. This will be our primary way to share emergency information that you may have previously found on a fairfaxcounty.gov web page. You can subscribe to blog updates by email, RSS or bookmarking the blog on your full browser or mobile device homescreen.
We also have some other ways to stay informed based on tools you may already use:
We ask that you help us share the information you’re reading with your social networks, family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and others. We recognize the valuable role social media plays in today’s information age and we want you to help us, especially in times of preparedness, response and recovery.
