Stay Safe in the Summer Heat
July 20, 2011
The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning
for Thursday, July 21, and Friday, July 22, from noon to 8 p.m.
each day.
An excessive heat warning means that a prolonged period of hot temperatures will occur. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will create a dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are possible for you, your family and your coworkers.
High temperatures will be in the upper 90s Thursday and in the upper 90s or low 100s on Friday; heat indices over 110 at times. The worst of the heat will be during the afternoon and early evening hours Thursday and Friday. The excessive heat will likely carry over into the weekend as well.
