A joint retreat of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and Fairfax County School Board will be held at the Junior Achievement Finance Park at Frost Middle School, 4099 Pickett Rd., Fairfax. The session begins at 9:45 a.m.on Saturday, Feb. 25.
This meeting will be an opportunity for the two boards to discuss goals and priorities and review past and present areas of collaboration. Since there will be opportunities for fiscal discussions at the budget committee meetings already scheduled in March, discussion at the retreat will focus on other topics including preparing the future workforce and exploring additional opportunities for further collaboration in areas including transportation, human services and shared facilities.
There will be no formal action taken during the retreat. Due to the limited space, attendees to this board retreat will be seated as space permits. This is not a public hearing and not a forum for public comment.
