Culmore Cleanup Scheduled for Nov. 10

The public is invited to participate in the fall 2012 Culmore cleanup in Falls Church on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 9 to 11 a.m. Volunteers will clean up trash and other debris, while bringing awareness to keeping the community clean.
Participants should check in at 9 a.m. at the Woodrow Wilson Library, 6101 Knollwood Drive, Falls Church, to receive trash bags, a t-shirt and gloves. Coffee and light refreshments will be offered. Volunteers are asked to pre-register teams of participants at www.facebook.com/culmorecleanupday or by calling the library at 703-820-8774, ext. 4, TTY 711.
The cleanup is organized by Alternative House, Bailey's Beautification Alliance, Fairfax County's Bailey's Community Center, the Fairfax County Health Department's Division of Environmental Health, Fairfax County Park Authority's Hidden Oaks Nature Center, the Mason District Supervisor's Office, the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust, the Rotary Club of Bailey's Crossroads and the Woodrow Wilson Library, along with several community organizations. Sponsors include Bailey's Crossroads Auto Body, the City Diner, the Coca-Cola Company, Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center, the Euro-Market Mobil, John Marshall Bank, Moe's Southwest Grill, Radley Acura, the Rotary Club of Bailey's Crossroads and Safeway.
