Statement From The Fairfax County Electoral Board
"As of 6:20 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, the Electoral Board has accepted 172 provisional ballots, rejected 138 provisional ballots and have a remaining 183 to be adjudicated out of a total of 493 provisional ballots in Fairfax County. The Electoral Board will be working tonight on adjudicating additional ballots. Note - Some information needed for adjudication was not available today due to the Veterans Day holiday.
Since Friday, 136 voters have appeared in person to the Government Center to defend or check on the status of their provisional ballot. Review of provisional ballots will continue on Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Following the conclusion of the review at 1 p.m. and final adjudication of provisional ballots, the Electoral Board will meet in the Government Center Conference Room 2/3 to vote the approved ballots by Congressional District. There will be three optical scan machines – one each for the 8th, 10th and 11th Congressional Districts. A Statement of Results will be made, checked for accuracy and the vote totals will be made available. At that time the Electoral Board will be able to certify the vote count for Fairfax County and that information will be forwarded to the Virginia State Board of Elections.”
Update of Tuesday, Nov. 12 Provisional Ballot Review Hours: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fairfax County Government Center, Room 315
The Electoral Board will meet in the Government Center Conference Room 2/3 to vote the approved provisional ballots by Congressional District, following the conclusion of the review process at 1 p.m. and final adjudication of provisional ballots.
