Deadline for Voter Registration and Changes is Tuesday, Oct. 15

The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 5 Virginia General Election is next Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 5 p.m. You must update your voter registration before the deadline if you have changed your address or name, or you may not be able to vote.
- Online– Register to vote or check your voter registration status online.
In Person – Fairfax County Office of Elections at the Fairfax
County Government Center, Suite 323, 12000 Government Center Parkway,
Fairfax, VA 22035.
- Schedule: Thursday, Oct. 10, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 11, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 12, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Monday, Oct. 14, closed for Columbus Day holiday; and Tuesday, Oct. 15, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Call – Call the Office of Elections at 703-222-0776 (TTY 711) during the hours noted above. You can have a voter registration form mailed to you, make changes on your registration or check your status.
- Pick Up a Form – Voter registration forms are available at your local library or Board of Supervisors' offices. Mail the completed and signed application to: Fairfax County Office of Elections, P.O. Box 10161, Fairfax, VA 22038-8061. Forms that are mailed to the Office of Elections must be postmarked on or before the Oct. 15 deadline.
The Nov. 5 General Election will include elections for governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, House of Delegates and the Fairfax County sheriff, as well as a School Bond Referendum.
