8th Congressional District Democratic Primary June 10; Deadlines and Information

A Democratic Primary Election will be held in the 8th Congressional District on Tuesday, June 10 to choose the Democratic candidate for U.S. House of Representatives. This primary is only open to voters who live in the 8th Congressional District. To check your congressional district, your voter registration status and poll location, go online to the Virginia State Board of Elections, or use the Fairfax County mobile app (click on Vote icon).

Absentee voting deadlines for the 8th District Democratic Primary Election:

Satellite Absentee Voting Location at Mount Vernon Governmental Center June 2-7:

  • In-person absentee voting will be available at the Mount Vernon Governmental Center, 2511 Parkers Lane, Alexandria, on Monday, June 2 through Friday, June 6, 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, June 7, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Please note that absentee voting will also be available on June 7 at the Fairfax County Government Center, but you may experience traffic delays and congestion due to the Celebrate Fairfax event.)

Absentee Voting at the Fairfax County Government Center through June 7:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Thursday: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Two Saturdays: May 31 and June 7, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Absentee voters who wish to vote at the Fairfax County Government Center on June 7,  but do not want to attend the Celebrate Fairfax event should go to the Green Gate (south entrance) where you will be given priority parking and assistance.
  • Parking June 2-7
