Transforming Tysons Open House on May 19, 2014

News Highlights

  • Open house will highlight the new conceptual park system plan for Tysons, among other topics. Share input or learn more about this proposed plan.
  • County staff and developers will be on hand to answer individual questions.
  • Event runs from 7-9 p.m. at the Spring Hill Elementary School.


On Monday, May 19 from 7 to 9 p.m., the public is invited to attend an open house on proposed development activity, ongoing transportation studies, potential Comprehensive Plan changes, and park and public facility plans for Tysons.

The event will be held at the Spring Hill Elementary School, 8201 Lewinsville Road, Tysons.

County staff and developers will be on hand to answer questions. To encourage one-on-one discussion, the open house will feature table displays where attendees can learn more about specific topics.  No formal presentations will be made, although an official introduction will be made at 7:30 p.m.

The Tysons Park System Concept Plan will be a major focus at the event. Learn more about this plan and share your input during the open house. As Tysons transforms into a major regional urban center, the Fairfax County Park Authority is working to ensure a connected network of urban parks.

  • TMSAMS (Tysons Metrorail Station Access Management Study)

  • The Tysons Partnership
