Cabaret Series — Welcome to the Speakeasy: Ramble
through the Jazz Age as talented performers tackle the tunes
inspired by the gin-joint atmosphere. Take one part Broadway,
add a dash of hot jazz, shake well and you’ve got the perfect
musical martini, served up by a sizzling cast of singers.
Featuring classic and contemporary songs, lots of laughs and

Saturday, Jan. 4: Look Up!
Astronomy Festival: Enjoy activities
including guided stargazing, looking through the telescope
and listening to ancient stories about the constellations
around the campfire. Other activities and games will be going
on throughout the evening, with hot chocolate and snacks
available for purchase. Cancelled if raining or snowing. From

the naturalist calling in these amazing gliders of the night
and look for flying squirrels at roosting boxes, as well as
learn how you can encourage flying squirrels to visit your

Center. Children must be accompanied by a registered

Sunday, Jan. 5: Lasting Impressions
Reception: Come see the work of watercolor and
collage artists Jan Burns and Loy McGaughy in the exhibit
"Revisiting Nature – Far and Near" and also tour the
Horticulture Center to see the Vienna Arts Society's 2014
Winter Art Show and Sale. Meet the artists and enjoy light
refreshments. From 1 to 3 p.m. at the Historic House at

Duo: Madelle Duo, composed of violinist
Rachelle Betancourt and cellist Madeleine Kabat, has won top
prizes in numerous international and national competitions.
In addition to her work as a soloist, Betancourt is a member
of the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra. After making her
solo debut with the Cleveland Orchestra at age 18, Kabat has
performed with orchestras all over the world. From 3 to 4:30
