Basic Gardening – Roses: Celebrated for beauty and fragrance, the rose lends elegance to any garden. Master gardeners show common-sense approaches and precautions to help ensure successful growing.  Saturday, Feb. 8: Tales, Treks and Tea

Animal Sweethearts Dance: The social event of the winter season is back! This year will debut the new comedy/drama, “Hound of Music.” There will be dancing, refreshments, crafts and live animals. A costumed interpreter will share the Walney mystery love poem and then invite you to write and share your own verses. Leave with your poem framed in childhood Valentine card style.  Sunday, Feb. 9: On the Shady Side

Life Without Impatiens – Plants for Shade: Now that the shade garden darling, impatiens, are succumbing to downy mildew, garden designer David Marciniak will introduce you to some other lovely shade garden options. Maple Syrup Boil-Down: The sap is rising and the maple trees are tapped. Now it’s sugaring time! Watch and learn as sap is boiled down into sweet syrup over an open fire.
