Using their sleuthing skills, children age 5 and above
guess the items on the “what’s it” table during
Do My Eyes Deceive? between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. at
Sully Historic Site. Look for modern objects that don’t
belong to Lee’s time and earn a candy stick. $6/adult,

Community Cleanup/Earth Day
Celebration: Volunteers of all ages are
invited to help beautify James Lee Community Center in Falls
Church. Attendees will also be able to participate in an
Earth Day Celebration and gain valuable information on topics
such as gardening, energy conservation, alternative energy
and recycling. Light lunch will be provided to
volunteers. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information call

Saturday, April 23: An EGGstra Good Time
Enjoy a
traditional Easter egg hunt at Mason District
Park, get into the holiday hunt with an
Easter Eggstravaganza at South Run RECenter or
hop on over to Nottoway Park for their annual
Easter Egg Hunt Celebration. Special
appearances by the Easter Bunny, face-painting, treats and
arts and crafts will be just some of the highlights.

in the Gardens: Be on the lookout for new
arrivals as bird migration comes in full wing! A naturalist
will help the group identify birds by sight, sounds and
behavior. All experience levels are welcome! Some binoculars
and field guides will be available, but feel free to bring
your own. Meet in the Visitor’s Center.10 a.m. Meadowlark

Night
Pond Exploration: Journey to the Bull Run pond after
dark with a naturalist. Arm yourself with a dip net and
search for frogs, tadpoles, turtles, foxes, deer and any
other animals around the pond at night! Wear shoes that can
get muddy. 7 p.m. Bull Run Regional Park. Free. For
