The Hula Monsters: The Hula Monsters
are a swing band with a Hawaiian flavor. Their repertoire
includes Hawaiian, rockabilly, blues, country and jazz
standards - all with the Hula Monster Hawaiian accent. It may
be difficult to categorize their music, but the common thread
is fun! The show is part of the Summer Entertainment Series
featuring performances Wednesday through Sunday at venues

Saturday, Aug. 11: State of the
Art
The
2nd Saturday Art Walk showcases the
diverse work of more than 100 visual artists in a
unique historic venue, creating an atmosphere
that encourages visitors to immerse themselves in
the richness of this creative community. Guests
can tour seven studio buildings, mix and mingle
with artists and buy original works of art,
all while enjoying light refreshment and music.
The social atmosphere of the monthly art walk
makes it the perfect destination for a date night
or girls night out, as well as for art
collectors and art appreciation groups. 6 to 9

The Homegrown
Medicine Chest: Medical care in the
1700s and 1800s was very different from the way it is
today. Tour the Sully House including the garden
and 18th-century kitchen to learn how home
remedies were prepared and used. Tours are offered at

Scandalous!
The Victorians weren’t as prudish as we think! Go
behind closed doors during What the Butler
Saw to get a glimpse of the “risqué” side
of Victorian life depicted in prints, photographs and
postcards. They wore tight corsets, but they weren’t
straight-laced! 1 to 3 p.m. Historic Green Spring.

leader Scott Stewart for an exciting adventure on the
water of the Pohick Bay Marsh. Glide by kayak while
