Escape to Black Friday at the Workhouse with
family and friends. Enjoy hot cider, artist demos and
workshops, while you explore the beautiful campus and start
your holiday shopping. There will be exclusive holiday gifts
in all price ranges, created by more than 100 Workhouse
artists. This all-day event includes the opening reception
for the
30 x 30: 30 Works in 30 Days (5 to 7 p.m.) on
exhibit in the McGuire Woods Gallery through Dec. 30. 9 a.m.

The Thanksgiving Story: Bring the family
and holiday guests to this lively and interactive telling of
the Thanksgiving Story. Gleemania’s Sue Cournoyer entertains
and informs. After the show, stroll the park and visit the
animals, or take a ride on the carousel or wagon. Children
must be accompanied by a paid adult. Participants age 3 and

Over the Moon
Come on a Full Moon
Night Hike and explore the area's nocturnal
wildlife. Learn about nature’s nighttime communication,
animal senses and experience the night environment in a
unique way. Come gain new confidence on how to navigate
comfortably in the dark and have fun with sensory awareness
activities that help overcome fear of the darkness through
knowledge and familiarity with it. Although participants may
bring a flashlight, the hike will be mostly in the dark.
Clothing for nighttime climate and the use of closed-toe
shoes recommended. Participants age 8 and above are welcome.

Children’s Theatre: Magical Christmas: There’s
something not right in the town of Believe. Santa hasn’t

25: Owls and Bats and Moths, Oh My!

Fliers of the Night Campfire to learn how animals
