Garden Sprouts — Fall Flower Fairies: The landscape may not be as green as in summer but the flower fairies find the autumn garden an enchanting place. Explore the fall garden with its nuts, seeds and berries, and look for the little folk that inhabit it. From 11 a.m. to noon at Green Spring Gardens. Ages 3 to 5. $6/child. Register online. 37th Annual McLean Antiques Show: An exceptional group of dealers representing American, English and European antiques, decorative accessories, furniture, folk art, porcelains, silver, paintings, prints, linens, Oriental carpets and rugs, and a glass repair service will be available on site as well as much more. Cool Cow Comedy Presents Rob Maher:Rob Maher is a regular performer at the DC Improv and Magoobys Joke House as well as a Funny Bone favorite. He is also a two-time finalist in Comedy Central’s Laugh Riot Competition. A la carte cash bar, soft drinks and concessions sold before performance (no outside alcoholic beverages). Professional Touring Artist Series – David Henry Hwang: Playwright, screenwriter and librettist David Henry Hwang discusses his works, shares his writing process and explains how the artist creates art, but that art also recreates the artist. Hwang, a first-generation Chinese American, is best known for his 1988 Tony Award-winning play “M. Butterfly,” based on the true story of a French diplomat's 20-year affair with a male spy masquerading as a female Chinese opera singer.
