Friday, Dec 3: So Crafty!
Come enjoy the sights, sounds and aromas of the season at
the renowned
McLean Holiday Craft Show. This year's show features
80 American fine artisans from across the country as well as
live holiday music to help you get into the holiday spirit.
11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday
from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.) Cost is $2/adults, $1/kids 13 and
younger.

Ponderings-Winter
Survival. See how animals found in the wilds
of Fairfax County handle the cold winter months. This
Hidden Pond Nature Center program includes a walk into wild
animal habitat. 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Cost is $4/child, ages 6

Saturday, Dec. 4: Doggone Good...
People aren't the only ones who want to be "Home for the
Holidays!" During the Fairfax County Animal
Shelter's annual campaign, think about adding a new
furry friend to the family. Many cats, dogs and other animals
would love to find a nice warm bed in a new home this holiday
season! The shelter is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m.

Celebrate the Park Authority’s 60th Anniversary with seasonal
festivities at Frying Pan Farm Park. Stroll through
the farm enjoying live music, equestrian demonstrations and
a farmhouse visit. Wagon rides, warming fires, carolers and
holiday photo stations add to the festive atmosphere. 1 to
7 p.m. Official ceremonies held at 5 p.m. Admission is

The Wonder of the Nutcracker - Winter Open House
at the Herndon Fortnightly Library. The Classical Ballet
Theatre presents a reading of "The Nutcracker."
Dancing snowflakes, little mice, a beautiful sugar plum
fairy and more characters read in storybook form. Crafts.

Sunday, Dec. 5: Shop 'Til You Drop
The General Store at Colvin Run Mill is stocked with unique
items in all price ranges for the annual Children's Holiday Shopping
extravaganza. Volunteers help children find the perfect gift
for everyone on their lists. Free wrapping ensures surprises
for family and friends. Call ahead for groups of six or more.
Adults must wait on site. Noon to 4 p.m. (also 10 a.m. to 2
