There are two ways to celebrate our planet with Earth Day programs in county parks this year.
At Ellanor C. Lawrence Park, learn about the changing environment, composting and other green practices on Saturday, April 22, 2017. Get creative and turn recycled household materials into fun new items. This program from 11 a.m. to noon is great for family members age two to adult. The cost is $6 per person.

Hidden Oaks Nature Center is offering guided nature walks on Earth Day, a family scavenger hunt, and a chance to do some crafting with recycled products. This free program for participants age five to adult runs from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Children younger than 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
