  2. Audio Tour of Civil War Battlefield. Grab your smartphone and take advantage of the crisp fall weather on a free audio tour of Ox Hill Battlefield Park, the site of the only major Civil War engagement in our county.
  3. Learn About Adoption and Foster Parenting. If you love kids and have thought about adoption or being a foster parent, attend one of these meetings to get helpful information.
  4. Smoke Alarm and Home Fire Safety Inspection. As part of its “Preventing the 9-1-1 Call” program, the Fire and Rescue Department will do a fire safety inspection and install a free smoke alarm in your home. Call 703-246-3801, TTY 711.
  5. Medicare Made Simpler. Learning the ins and outs of Medicare can be maddening; get help at one of our free information meetings or long list of resources.
