Pope Francis Visit Information

Pope Francis will visit Washington, D.C., Sept. 22-24. For those of you who work in D.C. or maybe have a doctor’s appointment in the city, then you should consider some alternate plans as traffic/transit will be challenging those days. If you’re attending any of the events, then you should review the security restrictions.

“While large crowds are expected in Washington D.C. during the Papal visit, there are a number of other large concert and sporting events occurring during this same time period. Large crowds and delays can be expected on Metro and traveling the roadways in and around the region.”Dave McKernan, emergency management coordinator

We’ve rounded up some information below to help you navigate the Pope’s visit. You can also visit our traffic and transit page.
