MINUTES
(As approved by the Board of Directors on September 28, 2010)
Mrs. Packard called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m. Those present were:
- Jean Packard, Chairman, NVSWCD
- Adria Bordas, Director-Extension, NVSWCD
- George Lamb, Treasurer, NVSWCD
- Diane Hoffman, Administrator, NVSWCD
Pohick Creek Watershed PL-566 Project - Amendment to Woodglen Project Agreement. In a memo prior to the meeting, Mrs. Hoffman explained the rehabilitation work at Pohick Site 3 (Woodglen) is nearly complete and that construction costs have been less than estimated when the original Project Agreement was signed. Hence, the amount of money obligated for the work is more than will be needed. NRCS has asked that the sponsors agree to an amendment that will deobligate the unneeded funds so that they can be used for projects elsewhere in the country. The directors were provided a copy of the one-page amendment.
A motion (Lamb-Bordas) passed (3-0) to approve an amendment to the Woodglen Project Agreement among USDA-NRCS, Fairfax County and NVSWCD to deobligate $200,000 in federal funding for the rehabilitation of Pohick Site 3
Mrs. Packard adjourned the meeting at 10:35 a.m.
