What is Neighborhood Ecological Stewardship Training (NEST)?
Neighborhood Ecological Stewardship Training (NEST) is designed to help you find out more about your local natural resources through a series of hands-on workshops and outings that explore stream ecology, plants, and soil, as well as your personal connection to the Northern Virginia region.

When will NEST be offered?
After a very successful launch in spring 2006, NEST is on hiatus.
Look for NEST again in spring 2008!

NEST Workshops and Outings

Session 1: Introduction to NEST (indoors).

Session 2: Stream Valley Ecology: Watersheds, Streams, Plants

Session 3: Stream Valley Ecology: Soil, Native and Invasive Plants

Session 6: Outdoor Arts

With the exception of the introduction (Session 1), sessions will be offered multiple times.
