Twohie has been recognized as an innovative leader who works to encourage strong public policies at the state and local level so that children and their families have the best opportunities to thrive and be successful.
“I am extremely honored to receive this recognition from the Northern Virginia early childhood community, whose dedication and service to children and families I greatly respect,” Twohie said.
The 2011 award was presented at the NVAEYC fall conference on October 15 at the Fairfax County Government Center.
