Renewing Your Permit
Your Fairfax County family child care permit is valid for one year. You must apply to renew your permit every year, and pay the required fees. Here is a comparison of what is required the first time you apply for a permit, and what is required to renew your permit.

You will receive a yellow postcard in the mail three months before your permit expires, reminding you to renew it. Your permit will be renewed when all of the above items are received or completed.
