Diana Shermeyer has been a resident of the Mount Vernon District of Fairfax County for over 23 years. She is retired from 35 years as a Federal Government employee. She currently does volunteer work for both the Fairfax County Victim Assistance Network and the United Communities Ministries (UCM) in an effort to "give back" to her community. She has an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology from Albright College and a Masters Degree in Management from the George Washington University. She is the appointee of Supervisor Gerry Hyland to the position of Mount Vernon representative to the Commission for Women.
