Sook Kim has lived in Fairfax County for over 20 years. She earned her B.F.A. in Visual Communications at Sookmyung Women’s University in Korea and a M.F.A. in Communication Arts and Design at Virginia Commonwealth University. She has been the President of KI Creative Group, a graphic design, communications, and event management company for over 14 years. Her clients range from government agencies, small to large companies, and start-ups and well-established businesses. Some of her more prominent clients have been the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the American Trucking Association, the Smithsonian Institution, and the Korean Cultural Center for the Korean Embassy.
Along with being a minority women business owner, she is the secretary of the Enlightened Korean American Women’s Club, a community service organization that encourages all members to volunteer in the community and support those in need of help, especially women. Additionally, she is also a member of the Korean Heritage Foundation, an organization working to preserve the Korean culture and arts for future generations. Sook is also a member of the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce.
