- Offers individual and group counseling
services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
- Provides safe shelter and support services
to those fleeing family violence situations.
- Offers intervention services to voluntary
and court-referred individuals who have been physically,
emotionally, or verbally abusive.
- Encourages a violence-free community
through educational outreach that focuses on healthy relationships,
effective communication skills, and recognition of abusive
behaviors.
- Ensures 24-hour access to information
and support for victims of sexual and domestic violence
and to those who care about them.
- Supports the Fairfax
County Commission for Women, which works to include
women’s perspectives in the decisions of government,
and to identify and address emerging issues affecting women
and girls in our community.
