Be Prepared for Winter Weather

  • Fairfax County’s emergency information blog provides updated weather and operating status information.
  • Stay informed through county tools and resources (mobile apps, Facebook, Twitter).
  • Sign up for the Community Emergency Alert Network (CEAN). Alerts can be sent to any or all technology devices: email account (work, home, other); cellphone (text message costs may apply); pager; PDA.
  • The Winter Weather Preparedness Web page offers tips and links on a wide variety of topics, such as road conditions and snow removal; freezing pipes and plumbing; people with disabilities; preventing injuries; and more.
  • Check out a range of important phone numbers that can be added to your phone contacts before an emergency.

All Board of Supervisors, Board of Zoning Appeals and Planning Commission meetings are held at the Fairfax County Government Center Board Auditorium, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, unless otherwise noted.

Board of Supervisors Agenda

Board of Supervisors Actions

The Board of Supervisors last met on Tuesday, Jan. 24. The summary of board actions is available by 4 p.m. on the Monday following each meeting.

Planning Commission

    • Tysons Corner CommitteeWednesday, Feb. 15, 7 p.m., Conference Rooms 2/3, Fairfax County Government Center. Continue discussions on financing options for transportation improvements in Tysons.
    • Environment CommitteeThursday, Feb. 23, 7 p.m., Board Conference Room (behind Board Auditorium), Fairfax County Government Center. Continue discussion on proposed Green Building Policy changes.
