Be Prepared for Winter Weather
- Fairfax County’s emergency information blog provides updated weather and operating status information.
- Stay informed through county tools and resources (mobile apps, Facebook, Twitter).
- Sign up for the Community Emergency Alert Network (CEAN). Alerts can be sent to any or all technology devices: email account (work, home, other); cellphone (text message costs may apply); pager; PDA.
- The Winter Weather Preparedness Web page offers tips and links on a wide variety of topics, such as road conditions and snow removal; freezing pipes and plumbing; people with disabilities; preventing injuries; and more.
- Check out a range of important phone numbers that can be added to your phone contacts before an emergency.

Board of Supervisors Agenda

Planning Commission

Committee Meetings
- Telecommunications Committee – Thursday, Feb. 9, 7 p.m., Board Conference Room (behind Board Auditorium), Fairfax County Government Center. Review the draft Policy Plan Amendment and Administrative Review Text concerning telecommunications facilities.
- Tysons Corner Committee – Wednesday, Feb. 15, 7 p.m., Conference Rooms 2/3, Fairfax County Government Center. Continue discussions on financing options for transportation improvements in Tysons.
- Environment Committee – Thursday, Feb. 23, 7 p.m., Board Conference Room (behind Board Auditorium), Fairfax County Government Center. Continue discussion on proposed Green Building Policy changes.
