Bluegrass Barn Concert Series: Nu-BluClick to Register with Parktakes Online

Nu-Blu will deliver a mix of their original songs with traditional material, and even incorporate songs from other genres at Frying Pan Farm Park’s visitor center at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door, $12 in advance. Maple Syrup Boil-Down

The sap is rising and the maple trees are tapped. Now it’s sugaring time! Watch and learn as sap is boiled down into sweet syrup over an open fire at Colvin Run Mill Historic Site from noon to 2 p.m. Sample maple syrup over fresh baked cornbread, while supplies last! Having earned every wrinkle, and resolutely proud of them, Elissa Steeves muses aloud on more than 40 years of personal gardening experience and how her garden reflects her own unique personality. With poise and humor she discusses some really great plants and how age brings changes in our tastes and ideas about gardening.
