Saturday, March 16 Garden Sprouts: Animal Tracks Three to five-year-olds look at deer, rabbit, and raccoon tracks and look for other signs of these woodland creatures at Green Spring Gardens from 11 a.m. to noon. Family Fun: Animal Trek From 2 to 3 p.m. at Green Spring Gardens, learn how to identify animals by their tracks and other clues. Explore the park for evidence of woodland animals then make a plaster cast of your favorite animal prints. Participants must be at least age five. The cost is $6 per person. Register online. Watercolor Workshop: The Cliff Edge Make your paintings more creative with artist and teacher Carolyn Grosse Gawarecki as she shows you special techniques to paint rocky mountain cliffs or coastal rock cliffs.  Working with interesting colors and a credit card or palette knife you can easily create the necessary rocky textures needed.   Add some trees and other textural embellishment and a painting is quickly achieved. A morning demonstration is followed by an afternoon painting workshop and critique. This class is geared toward intermediate and experienced beginners. Bring a bag lunch. Campfire: Celebrate Girl Scout Week Wrap up National Girl Scout Week with a campfire, cooking hotdogs and s'mores, and singing songs at Hidden Oaks Nature Center from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Hear American Indian wildlife tales. Flying Squirrels: Gliding in Tonight Join the naturalist in calling in these amazing night gliders and look for flying squirrels at roosting boxes near the Hidden Oaks Nature Center. Learn how you can encourage flying squirrels to visit your yard. Participants must be at least age four. The cost is $6.
