Miss Spider’s Tea Party

Join Miss Spider, Miss Ladybug and friends as we celebrate spring in the forest at Hidden Oaks Nature Center from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Children ages four to six with an adult are invited to come dressed as their favorite insect or spider and make their own antennae. Enjoy a tea party, stories and activities as we spin an afternoon of fun and learning. Prepaid reservations are required. The cost is $10 each. Call 703-941-1065.

Wetlands Awareness Day

Enjoy a free afternoon of wetland interpretation, wildlife presentations and a Fun Fair for kids at Huntley Meadows Visitor Center from noon to 3 p.m. A modest fee applies for some activities. To reserve, call 703-768-2525.

Whether you’re pickin’, strummin, or just listenin’ – it’s an old-fashioned knee-slappin’, finger-poppin’, toe-tappin’ good time! Bring your instrument or come by the Frying Pan Farm Park Country Store to enjoy this free, drop-in session from 1 to 4 p.m. For information, call 703-435-3710.
