Bird Hike

Walk the woodlands and fields of Ellanor C. Lawrence Park with a naturalist from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in search of resident and migratory bird species. This program is suitable for children ages 12 and older. Bring binoculars and field guides. Dress for the weather. Reservations are required for this free walk. To reserve, call 703-631-0013.

Dog Hike

Join a naturalist and her dog on a free hike designed for you and your canine at Ellanor C. Lawrence Park from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Discover different trails, the responsibilities of being a dog walker, and outdoor dangers to your dog. Retractable leashes not allowed. Bring your own bags. The hike is suitable for ages ten and older. Reservations are required. To reserve, call 703-631-0013.

Trillium Trek

Head by van to Linden, VA, for a glorious display of trilliums and other spring wildflowers from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring a bag lunch. Wear hiking shoes for a moderate hike on a rocky trail.
