Apprentice Naturalist: Bat Basics

From 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Cub Run RECenter, children ages 12 years and older will learn about the important ecological and economic contributions bats of Virginia make. See bats in their natural habitat and listen to our bat detector as they hunt. Reservations are required. The cost is $5 per child. To reserve, call 703-817-9407.

Garden Stroll and Tea

Take a relaxing stroll through the gardens and enjoy a tea at the Historic House from 1 to 3 p.m. This is a delightful introduction to the mission and history of Green Spring Gardens. The docent-led tours of our demonstration gardens are followed by a full English afternoon tea. Individuals and groups are welcome. The cost is $25 per person. For information, call 703-941-7987

Nature Detectives – Birds of Prey

Learn about expert hunters through a discussion, an activity and a walk to the wetland at Huntley Meadows Park from 10 to 10:45 a.m. This program is suitable for children ages three to five years. Reservations are required. The cost is $5 per child. To reserve, call 703-768-2525.
