Two-Person Night Tournament

Teams of two play in a nine-hole scramble event using glow-in-the-dark balls at Greendale Golf Course starting at 7 p.m. Prizes for 1 st and 2 nd place awarded.  Dinner and registration start at 6 p.m. with a shot gun start at 7 p.m.  The cost is $90 per team. Registration and $20 deposit is required by September 12.  There is a limit of 18 teams. Rain date is Friday, September 26. To register, call 703-971-6170.

Ponderings: Tiptoe through the Swamp Ooze

Join a barefoot naturalist as he explores the messy and misunderstood wetland at Hidden Pond Nature Center from 4:30 to 6 p.m. to see what lives in the mud. Wear shoes that can get dirty. Reservations are required. This program is suitable for children ages 6 to 12 years. The cost is $6 child. To reserve, call 703-451-9588.
