Putting the Animals to Bed

Children ages six to nine with an accompanying adult bring a flashlight or lantern for a twilight tour of Frying Pan Farm Park’s Kidwell Farm from 7 to 8 p.m. and learn how the animals settle down for the night. Family Fishing by Boat

Enjoy fishing with your children from a jon boat at Riverbend Park from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Follow the naturalist to favorite fishing spots for bass, sunfish and the occasional catfish. Previous rowing experience not required. Boats and PFDs provided. Fishing rods can be rented at the park. Prepaid reservations are required. The maximum number of people per boat is three; one must be 16 years or older. The cost is $20 per boat. To reserve, call 703-759-9018.
